About Sannock
The name Sannock is an old Scots word for Sandy and can be found
in a letter by Robert Burns to James Tenant of Glenconer in which he wrote,
"An' Lord remember singing Sannock,
wi' hail breeks, saxpence and a bannock"
Today Sannock is Sandy Marshall,
a versatile singer, songwriter and member of the popular Perthshire folk band, Tarneybackle.
